Board approves piggybacking Brighton sidewalk contract; CHIPS limits on tree work noted

The Village of Le Roy agreed to piggyback Brighton's sidewalk contract with Pro Construction and approved using that vendor if the village bids. DPW Superintendent Robert Lathan said CHIPS funds can pay for tree removal only when tied to road work and not for routine trimming.

The board agreed May 20 to piggyback Brighton’s sidewalk contract, allowing the village to use Pro Construction for local sidewalk repairs. Trustee James Bonacquisti moved to accept the piggyback; Trustee Raymond Yacuzzo seconded and the motion passed with recorded ayes from the four members present.
