Residents raise property‑condition and stream‑work concerns during public comment

During Privilege of the Floor, Emily Lane of Lanesville raised concerns about two neighboring properties she described as in "horrendous shape," listing uninsured vehicles, trailers, campers, piles of metal and tires and saying she feared well contamination and refuse burial. Supervisor Mahoney said he was familiar with the parcels, that the code enforcement officer had been notified and the matter was on the town's radar; if the Town takes action Lane will be notified.

Roy Silver also addressed the Board with concerns about work in a stream by a neighbor that he believes has undone prior corrective erosion work and could lead to flooding of his property; he reported contacting DEC and described a day when the neighbor blasted music toward his house. The town advised Mr. Silver to involve law enforcement to avoid physical confrontation and said it would note his concerns in the record. The Board did not record any formal enforcement action at the meeting.
