Broken Bow adopts ordinance regulating electric scooters, e-bikes and hoverboards

The Broken Bow City Council on July 28, 2026 adopted Ordinance 1313, an amendment to Chapter 74 of the municipal code establishing rules for electric scooters, electric bicycles and hoverboards on public property. Councilmember Paul Holland moved for final passage, seconded by Russ Smith; the roll call vote was unanimous and Mayor Rodney W. Sonnichsen declared the ordinance adopted.
