The Fire Chief explained that the proposed EMS mutual-aid plan formalizes how local departments assist each other and that it largely mirrors existing fire mutual-aid arrangements. "It pretty much mirrors how the firework works," the chief said, adding that departments will respond when able and that the plan simply puts the arrangement in writing.
