Millston board backs BEAD broadband application, approves $500 match
Town of Millston voted unanimously to send a letter endorsing a BEAD broadband application that would bring fiber to Jackson County homes and to provide a $500 cash match; the letter will be sent to the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin.

MaryAnn Lippert, a Wood County consultant, presented on behalf of Cindy Altman seeking the town's support for BEAD (Broadband, Equity, Access and Deployment) funding to extend fiber to Jackson County residents, including the Town of Millston. The board approved a motion by Supervisor George Riedel, seconded by Chairman Mike Yahn, to provide a Letter of Endorsement and a $500 cash match; the motion carried and the letter will be sent to Cru Stubley, Secretary to the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin.
