The Board authorized Madam Chair Leonard to execute a land lease with Verizon Wireless permitting installation and maintenance of a small-cell tower (approx. 45 feet) on the Wayne County campus to improve weak indoor and outdoor cellular coverage. Mr. Brady presented the resolution and noted the Public Works Department and IT have negotiated with Verizon, and Verizon agreed to install the tower at no initial or future cost to the county.
