Board authorizes nominations for Opportunity Zones 2.0, designates Community Development Director as designee

The Siskiyou Economic Development Council (SEDC) asked the Board to nominate selected census tracts for consideration under California’s Opportunity Zones 2.0 program. SEDC Executive Director Tonya Dowse and Finance Director Jen Thackeray presented the county’s proposed list and a two‑page 'Development Finance Tools' document and recommended that the Community Development Department be authorized to submit the nomination.
