Board approves $28.1 million contract for state fire-training academy
The State Board of Finance approved a $28,145,638.13 construction contract for a new fire training academy, memorial and amphitheater after staff said five bidders responded and Franklin Construction was the low bidder. Members flagged a roughly $4 million gap between the top bids and secured a contingency that a fully executed contract be provided to staff.
