President Jim O’Connor briefed Council on the PUC timetable requiring electric companies to complete LED conversions by 2029; municipal (community-owned) streetlights were noted as outside that mandate. He said municipalities must sign LED contracts but details remain with the consultant and the Borough has not yet received contract terms.
