Committee approves community development 2026 budget with new $2,000 events pool

Community development staff presented the proposed 2026 budget and explained it is composed of three funds: Fund 94 (economic development), Fund 13 (grants) and Fund 10 (administration). Staff told the committee the package nets to zero between the 2025 and 2026 budgets and highlighted a small increase in advertising for the visitor guide and a planned roll-forward of a $5,000 marketing line into 2026.
