Quaker Valley high school site plan needs redesign after DEP and Army Corps concerns
The Board was informed that DEP and the Army Corps of Engineers have expressed dissatisfaction with the Quaker Valley School District's stormwater retention pond designs and that the district will revise retaining-wall designs and return to the Township for approvals once redesigns are complete; PennDOT is involved because of a federal grant to upgrade Camp Meeting Road.

President McDaniel and Special Counsel Harlan Stone updated the Board on the Quaker Valley School District high school site plan, saying the Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers raised concerns about the stormwater retention pond designs. The school district has elected to revise the retaining-wall designs, and Mr. Stone said the district must return to the Township for approvals after redesigns are complete.
