Spurger ISD board approves consent agenda, budget changes and pay-plan amendment
At its Oct. 16 meeting the Spurger Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the consent agenda (including minutes), adopted budget amendments, accepted the quarterly investment report and approved an amendment to the 2025–2026 pay plan; closed session occurred with no details disclosed.

The Spurger Independent School District Board of Trustees convened Oct. 16, 2025, and officially called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. by Presiding Officer Carroll Hatton. The meeting established a quorum and the board recorded members present, including trustees Bradley Heim, Forrest Anderson, Derrick Gray and Cheryl Spangler, and Superintendent Jeff Burnthorn.
