Captain Maher requested approval to purchase a fixed self-contained breathing apparatus cascade system that will be installed at a headquarters location instead of relying on existing units located only at the north end of the county. He told the board the county currently has two older cascade units over 15 years old and that the new system includes a five‑year gold warranty from the vendor.
