Angleton ISD superintendent updates board on facilities, equipment and budget timing

Superintendent Phil Edwards briefed the Angleton ISD Board on multiple district initiatives and near-term tasks. "Marshall Project Phase II has started," Edwards told trustees, and he listed Phase I campus items—special education bathroom work, basketball courts, roof and intercom repairs, painting and internal pipe work—as completed or nearing completion.

Edwards also said the district "will purchase adaptive PE equipment for every elementary school in the district" and that the district "will be updating the website which requires new headshots for all board members," with photos scheduled after the July board meeting. He noted that TIA modification plans were approved by TEA and that Angleton ISD was asked by Energage to apply to be considered as a top workplace. Edwards reminded the board that a deficit budget will be presented at the August board meeting, signaling that trustees will see more detailed financial proposals later this summer.
