The Story County Board of Supervisors read a proclamation recognizing Aug. 7, 2026, as Purple Heart Day and voted to adopt it during the Aug. 4 meeting. Supervisor Latifah Faisal moved the proclamation and Supervisor Lisa Heddens seconded; the roll call vote was unanimous.
