The Story County Board of Supervisors opened sealed bids Aug. 4 for modifications to Hannum's Mill Dam, with project staff noting a wide spread in offered prices. Pat Shehan, Special Projects Ranger, and Marianne Harrelson, Administrative Coordinator, read the three bids into the record: RW Excavating Solutions of Prairie City, Iowa, $721,744.26; Iowa Earth Works of Huxley, Iowa, $849,621.50; and Michels Corporation of Brownsville, Wisconsin, $1,497,933.45.
