Residents, commissioners and the county fire chief pressed CDOT traffic staff on June 23 for quicker safety action on Highway 91 after multiple serious crashes. The fire chief asked whether CDOT could provide collision statistics for mileposts 7–9; Zane Dominic, Region 3 traffic and safety engineer, said CDOT maintains a statewide, citation‑based crash database and that "our database is ... probably the cleanest, statewide," but it does not capture incidents without citations.
