Canutillo ISD trustees advance three superintendent finalists to second interviews
After a closed executive session, the Canutillo ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously (6–0, one absent) to advance three superintendent applicants to second-round interviews and asked TASB to contact the finalists and their families for scheduling.

Trustee Barnes moved and Trustee Ortega seconded a motion to proceed with second-round interviews for three superintendent applicants following an executive session on Nov. 20, 2025. The board recorded six yes votes (Barnes, Maldonado, Martinez, Ortega, Rodriguez and Zuniga); Trustee Borrego was absent, and the motion passed.
