The Channelview ISD Board of Trustees approved a resolution March 17 supporting a partnership with Harris County Precinct 2 to pursue redevelopment of the former Viola Cobb Elementary site into the Channelview ISD Unity Park and Recreational Sports Complex. Trustee Shumona Collins moved the resolution and Trustee Ramiro Granados seconded; the motion passed unanimously, 6–0.
