The Avon Town Council on June 25 voted to appoint Shelby Farthing to the Redevelopment Commission (RDC) to replace Steve Eisenbarth, who vacated the seat on that board because his new council position created a conflict of interest. Councilmember Robert Pope moved the nomination; the motion was seconded and approved by roll call.
