Lindsay ISD authorized the superintendent to offer probationary contracts for 2026–27 to speed hiring and approved presented student transfer requests after an executive session; both motions passed unanimously 6-0.

The Lindsay ISD Board of Trustees approved a temporary authorization allowing Superintendent Steve Cope to offer probationary contracts for the 2026–2027 school year, a measure the superintendent said would enable the district to hire staff without waiting for the next called board meeting. Kelly Dunn moved to approve the temporary authorization; the motion was seconded by Brian Neu and passed 6-0.
