Howe ISD adopts 2026–27 compensation plan including $1,000 option
The board adopted the 2026–2027 compensation plan presented during a budget workshop, approving the "plus $1,000" option for employee compensation in a 7-0 vote.

During a budget workshop portion of the May 18 meeting, Julie Snapp presented preliminary revenue projections, expenditure budgets and proposed tax-rate information along with several compensation plan options. Superintendent Ritchie Bowling recommended adopting the 2026–2027 compensation plan, including the "plus $1,000" option.
