A participant (Resident (S5)) told the council the city has numerous small but widespread street failures—"some of them are only 50 feet long"—and called most past work temporary cold patches that do not meet community standards. The resident urged the council to emulate a recent Department of Transportation repair and to target streets that serve schools and heavy traffic for full paving work.
