Leakey ISD highlights growing dual enrollment program with SWTJC
Leakey ISD recognized students and staff in a dual enrollment partnership with Southwest Texas Junior College: 17 students enrolled in College Algebra, 15 earning credit, and 18 staff taking college-level courses, board heard Dec. 15.

Dual enrollment instructor Melissa Matter briefed the board on the district's partnership with Southwest Texas Junior College, reporting 17 high school students enrolled in College Algebra across the full year and 15 students currently earning college credit (two were within five points of the passing threshold). The program also involves staff: 18 staff members are enrolled in college-level courses, and multiple staff members are on track to earn credit.
