Gentleman's Lab opens second New Rochelle location on North Avenue

Catherine White, executive director of the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce, opened the ceremony for the second Gentleman's Lab location on North Avenue and introduced local officials and business partners who came to welcome the owners.

Mayor Yadira Ramos Herbert praised the owners' local roots and early ambition, saying, "So, I mean, as mayor, any new business is a great day for the city." She noted one owner's history as a New Rochelle High School student and said the city would support the business as it grows. "I'm so grateful for the both of you for sticking with New Rochelle, for choosing New Rochelle, for investing in New Rochelle," she said.

Owners Hugo Velasquez and James Amagon addressed the crowd, thanked collaborators and family, and described the new location as the result of years of work. As one owner put it: "I just wanna say thank you to Chris and thank you to Eddie because without them, gentleman's lab 2 would not be here today." The New Rochelle Chamber and representatives from nearby businesses and the New Rochelle Police Department were present for the ceremonial welcome.

The opening highlights local entrepreneurship and the role of the chamber and MWBE programs in promoting business expansion in New Rochelle. Organizers and officials signaled continued city support for the owners as they plan future growth.
