Board approves MFISD plan to delay HB2 teacher-certification implementation
Trustees unanimously approved a request to delay portions of HB2 teacher-certification requirements so currently employed uncertified foundation teachers may remain while completing certification requirements.

Dr. Missy Barrington presented the district's HB2 Implementation Plan and the requested delay of certain teacher-certification requirements. The plan asks that currently employed uncertified foundation teachers be permitted to remain in their positions while they complete certification; the Board approved the plan unanimously (motion: Kevin Naumann; second: Crystal Tubig).
