The Scurry‑Rosser Independent School District Safety and Security Committee on May 1 said the district is required by the Texas School Safety Center to update its Multi‑Hazard Emergency Operations Plan (MHEOP). Chief Jayme Burley, Chief of Police, told the committee updates are expected to be minimal and that draft revisions will be distributed to members once the center issues guidance. Burley will attend the Texas School Safety Center summer conference to gather updated guidance and best practices.
