Attorney Tony Schuering summarized three proposed housekeeping amendments to Paxton’s zoning code and asked the commission to consider a draft recommendation. The changes would replace outdated references to prior boards with “Planning and Zoning Commission,” remove permit-fee language from the code so the city council can set fees by resolution, and raise zoning violation penalties from the current $5 and $200 to a minimum of $100 and up to $750 under the city’s authority.
