Court approves several budget amendments, minor procurement and routine items

The court approved a series of budget amendments and routine procurement items: budget amendment #26‑79 to transfer volunteer fire department allocation funds to Lake Dunlap Volunteer Fire Department for roof repairs (after discussion of deed and lease language); budget amendment #26‑80 to reallocate funds to repaint law enforcement parking spots at the Justice Center; budget amendment #26‑81 to purchase four handheld camcorders for use‑of‑force incident documentation; and budget amendment #26‑82 to fund a wooden Commissioner's Court sign at the courtroom entrance. The capital projects fund bill list was also approved.

County staff and the court discussed lease language and maintenance obligations related to Lake Dunlap property before approving roof repairs. The sheriff's office representative said the camcorders save money in litigation and that two broken cameras created an emergency replacement need. All listed amendments and the bill list were approved by motion and vote during the meeting.
