A vote on additional fencing at the elementary campus ended in a 2–2 tie on June 8 and the board tabled the item under its operating procedures. Trustees Fabian Marroquin and Board President Haley Garcia voted in favor; Trustees Marcos Aparicio and Dane Kubecka voted against; two trustees were absent, producing a tie that prevented approval.
