The board approved purchase of a Trident T20 floor-cleaning machine for $9,379 and a Trimble 980 receiver (budgeted) for the highway department; staff said the Trimble purchase was budgeted and essential for survey operations.

Facilities staff explained the county's aging floor-cleaning machine is at the end of its useful life and recommended replacing it with a Trident T20 SC Pro unit. Facilities Manager Nick Young said the newer machine will do floor waxing and reduce future equipment purchases: "I think this would be a good machine." The board approved the purchase for $9,379.
