The Waynesville Board of Zoning Appeals on April 29, 2026, voted 6–0 to reject a requested setback variance for a vacant lot on Wayne Court (parcel #0501328012). The applicant, Eric Ross, asked the board to reduce required setbacks for a new build and said he planned to use soil from the site to help address a water problem at the rear of the lot.
