The council voted to authorize the mayor to enter a contract with Cattaraugus County for mosquito-spraying services for the term 05/01/2026–12/31/2026. The mayor and council characterized the program as an annual public‑health precaution; one council member said, "This is one I've always advocated for. We do it every year," and the council moved the item for approval.
