The Pasadena Independent School District Board of Trustees voted May 26, 2026, to approve closure, consolidation, program restructuring and attendance-zoning changes for McMasters Elementary and authorized the superintendent or her designee to take all necessary actions to effectuate those changes. The motion was made by Marshall Kendrick and seconded by Nelda Sullivan; the board recorded six ayes (Kenny Fernandez, Casey Phelan, Marshall Kendrick, Nelda Sullivan, Joe Campos, Crystal Davila) and one abstention (Paola Gonzalez).
