Legislator Block introduced a resolution urging the New York State Legislature to adopt a 'Good Food' bill that would provide a framework for municipalities to use values‑based procurement. "It puts our dollars back into the community, and it promotes a, equity in the food system and incentivizes sustainable and humane farming practices," Block said, and urged adoption at the state level.
