Public Works told the committee that contamination in yard‑waste — plastics, plant containers and bags — has led two of three local processors to refuse loads. "Two of the three local providers won't take our yard waste because of the amount of contaminant in it," Public Works Director said, and staff emphasized that continued contamination could force a return to rear‑load can collection so crews can inspect loads.
