Township authorizes additional chipseal add-ons with Allied despite overage risk

The Silver Creek Township Board of Supervisors approved additional chipseal work tied to Allied’s 4-mile loop contract at its June 26 special meeting, authorizing an option to add 20% to the contract. Maintenance told the board Allied holds the bid for the loop and the township could add the Intercity Silver Creek work as a quoted add-on rather than part of the base bid; the board voted 5-0 to approve both projects after motions by Vice Chairman Geyen and a second from Supervisor Nelson.
