Pendleton SD 16 board approves 2026–27 school year calendar
The Pendleton SD 16 board approved changes to the previously adopted 2026-27 calendar to increase time for district initiatives and teacher planning, keep the same number of student contact days, and shift conferences; the motion passed unanimously.

The Pendleton SD 16 board voted to approve the 2026–27 school year calendar after a presentation from Kevin Dinning, director of human resources. Dinning said the revised calendar keeps the district's student-contact days the same while creating additional time for district initiative work and teacher planning and shifting conference timing to better align with school needs. Director Anne Keeler moved to approve the calendar and Director Jill Pace seconded; the motion "carried unanimously."
