At its June 11, 2026 special meeting, the Orangefield ISD Board of Trustees approved expedited state waivers to permit staff development and modified testing days during the 2026–2027 school year. The motion to approve the waivers was made by Kyle DuBose and seconded by Brad Frye; the roll call vote was 5 yeas, 0 nays, with Jude Graffagnino and Ronald Risinger absent.
