The board recognized multiple student achievements: a performance by the Young Junior High Varsity Mixed Choir (led by Christy Jones and Keith Daniel), naming of Venture High senior Monica Barahas as Student of the Month for May, and recognition of district wrestlers from Arlington, Lamar, Martin, Sam Houston and Seguin High Schools who advanced as district, regional or state qualifiers (including Marquis Reis and Aiden Winters).
