The Assembly authorized two separate State Revolving Fund loan applications of up to $150,000 each — one to fund a wastewater disinfection study and another to develop an Industrial Pretreatment Program — both through the Alaska Clean Water Fund. The Petersburg Borough Assembly on July 20 approved Resolution 2026‑20 and Resolution 2026‑21, authorizing the Borough Manager to apply for and execute State Revolving Fund loans of up to $150,000 each through the Alaska Clean Water Fund. Resolution 2026‑20 would fund a wastewater disinfection study to evaluate alternatives and develop preliminary engineering recommendations; Resolution 2026‑21 would support development and implementation of an Industrial Pretreatment Program to help the Borough meet state and federal wastewater pretreatment requirements.
