The council voted unanimously June 11 to authorize the issuance of an RFP/RFQ for grant administration services to pursue a Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) Water Supply and Infrastructure grant. City Manager Squyres summarized the TWDB program as a competitive statewide pool of about $500 million and said "for cities of our size, about $71 million is available, and we intend to pursue a $10 million grant."
