Jacinto City adopts resolution formally opposing data centers until impact study

The Jacinto City Mayor and City Council voted unanimously (3-0) on July 2, 2026, to adopt Resolution 2026-10R, which expresses the council's opposition to construction, development or approval of data-center facilities within city limits until additional analyses and policy guidance are completed. City Secretary Christal Rodriguez read the resolution at the special session; the vote records Council Members Gregg Robinson, Carmela Garcia and Mario Gonzales in favor and no votes against.
