Board honors student athletes and ratifies appreciation-week resolutions
The board recognized student athletes across Gresham and Sam Barlow high schools for conference and state achievements and ratified resolutions recognizing Volunteer Appreciation Week (April 20–24) and Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4–8).

The board opened recognitions for student achievements across the district on April 2. Principal Aki Mori recognized Gresham High School cheerleaders—Maggie Zelinka, Kady Green and Daelynne Perez—named 1st Team All-State. Principal Jason Bhear recognized Sam Barlow athletes including conference champions and state placers in wrestling and swimming and noted All-Conference and All-State honors for girls basketball player Adi Fancher.
