Planning commission weighs draft responses to council resolution, outlines comp‑plan next steps

The Lorraine Planning Commission reviewed draft responses to a town-council resolution and discussed next steps on the 2025 comprehensive-plan update. The chair opened the meeting and staff said the immediate priority is preparing clear replies the council can see "so that you folks are aware of what these impacts are before we have to hold public hearings."

Staff asked commissioners to review an outline of the plan's chapters and a preliminary "skeleton" so commissioners can provide feedback and the office can flesh out chapters with public-meeting input. "We're gonna get a little help hopefully from Sophie sometime soon and try to get at least the outline of all the major chapters," the staff member said, urging commissioners to be ready to discuss core elements by July 1.
