Engineer: Mennonite Church must amend application to add school as a second use, variance required
Township Engineer John Weber told the board the Mennonite Church's zoning hearing board application to add a school requires a special exception and, because the building exists, a variance for second use; solicitor and applicant's attorney are coordinating an amended filing.

At the July 7 meeting, Township Engineer John Weber reported that the Mennonite Church at 389 Alleghenyville Road submitted a zoning hearing board application to add a school to the existing property. Weber said the application requests a special exception and that, because an existing building is present, the proposal is treated as a second use and therefore requires a variance in addition to the special exception.
