Board approves limited rezoning to add four parcels to Ag Security program

Chairman Jeff Fiant presided over a discussion of a rezoning request tied to land preservation on July 7, 2026. Township Engineer John Weber confirmed the township sent letters to neighboring property owners to notify them of the proposed change; the property owner requested adding parcel #34437302999517 to the original rezoning request to allow eligibility for the township's Agricultural Security program. The board permitted the parcel's addition and then discussed whether some neighboring properties could be excluded after several residents registered opposition. Solicitor Elizabeth Magovern and Engineer Weber both confirmed exclusions were possible.
