County Manager Thomas Weaver told commissioners Aug. 5 that staff will present SPLOST- and tourism-funded project estimates at the next work session, including a dock at Riverbend Park, bathrooms at the King Street basketball court, and a Welcome Center at City Hall. Weaver said he contacted a dredging company to evaluate sand removal at the county boat ramp but cautioned the Army Corps of Engineers may place jurisdictions on a long wait list for federal dredging work.
