Chisago Lakes board certifies special election: both bond measures fail
The Chisago Lakes School Board unanimously adopted a resolution canvassing special election returns that showed voters rejected School District Question 1 ($48.1M) and Question 2 ($7.505M); the board instructed the clerk to notify the Commissioner of Education.

The Chisago Lakes School Board on Feb. 19 certified the results of the Feb. 10 special election and declared that two school building bond questions did not carry. The board’s resolution recorded that School District Question 1—authorization to issue general obligation bonds not to exceed $48,100,000—failed, and School District Question 2—an additional authorization not to exceed $7,505,000 that depended on Question 1—also failed.
