Public warns rezoning one temporary RV park to permanent could set precedent

During public comment, Bill Wood Smith of Blue Bonnet Boulevard (who identified himself for the record) told the council he was "not in opposition to this particular agenda item, but I am in very much opposition of the precedent that this sets." He said there are approximately 1,480 RV sites in Lower Plaquemines and warned that approving a conversion to permanent use could encourage other temporary parks to seek rezoning.
